My Daily Routine for Conscious Awakening

Every morning, I wake up to a busy start: getting my kids ready for school, preparing breakfast for my husband, and quickly reviewing my day’s agenda. But before diving into all of this, I take a moment to close my eyes and ask myself:

"How do I feel today?"

This simple question allows me to observe internally and recognize the sensations present in my body. It’s not about judging or analyzing, but simply identifying: What am I feeling right now?

Our energy each morning varies depending on how we’ve slept, the dreams we’ve had, and the activities awaiting us. Often, we start the day on autopilot, without realizing how we actually feel. Taking just five minutes for this self-check-in makes a difference—it’s a reminder that understanding how I feel helps me make better decisions throughout the day.

A Midday Pause

At midday, I take another moment to reflect on how my day is going so far. It could be addressing something that may have unsettled me or simply pausing to take a few deep breaths.

This brief self-check-in allows me to assess:

  • How am I feeling now?

  • What has shifted since this morning?

If something feels uncomfortable, I allow myself to sit with it, to delve deeper and bring attention to what might need transformation.

The Power of Gratitude and Emotional Awareness

Conscious pauses like these foster gratitude for what I’ve achieved and help me manage my emotions. They allow me to be more patient, communicate more clearly, and remain emotionally balanced.

By expressing my feelings with my family, I also show them it’s okay to acknowledge when we’re not at our best. Sometimes I’ll say, “I feel a little off today,” which helps normalize the idea that it’s okay to not be okay.

The Result: A More Aligned and Balanced Day

Thanks to these conscious pauses, I feel more at ease, with greater clarity and emotional direction. They provide the serenity I need to face my day with awareness and balance.

I invite you to incorporate these moments into your daily routine. A few minutes to connect with yourself each day can lead to profound changes in how you experience life.

With love,
Ana
